Position Overview

In this pivotal role, the Medical Director will oversee the quality and delivery of medical services at a bustling primary care site. You'll work closely with the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, and healthcare providers to address patient care challenges and optimize workflows. Key responsibilities include provider recruitment, scheduling, performance evaluations, and spearheading quality improvement initiatives. The position is ideal for a board-certified Family or Internal Medicine physician with experience in primary care, particularly within FQHC settings.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $163,200 to $213,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Medical Director Stipend: $10,000
  • Eligibility for NHSC Loan Repayment or State Loan Repayment programs
  • 27 days of PTO, 3 personal days, 1 floating holiday, 8 paid holidays
  • $3,000 annual CME allowance with 5 days of CME time
  • FTCA Coverage (no external malpractice or tail coverage required)

    The ideal candidate is a board-certified Family or Internal Medicine physician with a minimum of three years of primary care experience. A background in FQHC settings, an active Illinois practice license, and a federal DEA are essential.
