A leading regional behavioral health organization is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join its Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Mobile, AL. This modern, short-term inpatient program serves adults experiencing acute psychiatric crises who require immediate stabilization, compassionate care, and connection to ongoing outpatient support.

The facility operates a large inpatient program with a strong multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and social workers — ensuring manageable caseloads and a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Position Overview

The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and coordination with other members of the care team. This role offers a structured Monday–Friday daytime schedule with minimal call — approximately once every 12 to 13 weeks, evenly shared among the team. The organization emphasizes strong clinical collaboration, innovation, and efficiency, supported by a robust administrative infrastructure and modern EMR system.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric assessments and manage ongoing treatment plans for adults in crisis

Oversee medication management and evaluate therapeutic outcomes

Collaborate closely with nursing, case management, and social work teams

Participate in treatment planning meetings and discharge coordination

Ensure continuity of care through integration with outpatient programs
